At JR Copier, we are committed to delivering your office equipment safely, professionally, and on time. This shipping policy outlines our delivery procedures, coverage areas, fees, and what you can expect when ordering from us.

Shipping Coverage

JR Copier delivers office equipment throughout North Carolina and South Carolina, including:

  • All major metropolitan areas (Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Columbia, Greenville, Charleston)
  • Suburban locations throughout both states
  • Rural areas with road access
  • Commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and government facilities

Note: Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, and international locations is not currently available. For inquiries about service outside our coverage area, please contact our sales team.

Free Shipping Eligibility

Free shipping applies to the following:

  • All copiers and multifunction printers (excluding console machines)
  • Orders over $1,000 for smaller equipment (desktop printers, scanners, supplies)
  • Lease-to-own equipment deliveries
  • Rental equipment deliveries
  • Equipment replacements and upgrades

Orders under $1,000: A nominal shipping fee may apply for smaller equipment orders. The exact fee will be calculated and displayed during checkout.

Console Machine Shipping

Console copiers and high-capacity multifunction machines require specialized freight shipping due to their size and weight (typically 400+ pounds). These deliveries incur a $597.00 shipping fee per machine.

This fee covers:

  • Specialized freight carrier services
  • Liftgate delivery (if required)
  • Inside delivery to your designated room
  • Professional unpacking and setup
  • Removal of packaging materials

Financing Options: For customers financing equipment through our leasing programs, shipping fees can be included in your monthly payments, making budgeting easier.

Delivery Timeframes

Order Processing (1-3 Business Days)

  • In-stock equipment: 1-2 business days
  • Custom configurations: 2-3 business days (network setup, software installation)
  • Refurbished equipment: 1-2 business days (includes final inspection and testing)
  • Special orders: 3-7 business days (confirmed at time of order)

Transit Time (3-7 Business Days)

  • Metropolitan areas: 3-5 business days
  • Suburban locations: 4-6 business days
  • Rural areas: 5-7 business days

Total Timeline: Most customers receive and have their equipment installed within 4-10 business days from order confirmation. Rush delivery and same-week installation may be available in select markets—contact us for availability.

Professional Installation Included

All copier and multifunction printer deliveries include professional installation at no additional cost:

  • Unpacking and placement in your designated location
  • Connection to power and network
  • Initial configuration (user settings, network setup, default preferences)
  • Functionality testing (print, copy, scan, fax verification)
  • Basic user training (operation overview, common functions)
  • Network integration (driver installation assistance)
  • Packaging removal and disposal
  • Final quality check

Installation Scheduling

Our installation team will contact you 1-2 business days before delivery to:

  • Confirm delivery date and time window
  • Verify site requirements and access
  • Answer any last-minute questions

Installation appointments are scheduled based on your availability and typically take 1-2 hours depending on equipment complexity.

Site Requirements

For smooth installation, please ensure:

  • Clear path from building entrance to installation location
  • Adequate space for equipment (dimensions provided with order)
  • Access to electrical outlet (standard 110V for most equipment)
  • Network access point nearby (wired or wireless)
  • Elevator or freight access available (for upper floors)
  • Authorized person present to accept delivery and sign paperwork

White Glove Delivery Service

For large copiers and high-volume equipment, we provide white glove delivery service:

  • Inside delivery to room of choice (not just curbside)
  • Professional moving equipment (dollies, liftgates, pallet jacks)
  • Assembly of multi-component systems
  • Furniture placement and equipment positioning
  • Cable management and wire concealment
  • Complete cleanup and packaging removal
  • Building regulation compliance

Tracking and Communication

Stay informed throughout the delivery process:

  1. Order Confirmation: Immediate email confirmation with order number, equipment details, and estimated delivery date
  2. Shipping Notification: Email sent when equipment ships, including carrier details, tracking number, and estimated delivery date
  3. Installation Coordination: Phone call from installation team 1-2 business days before delivery to confirm appointment
  4. Day-of Communication: Text or call when technician is en route (if contact number provided)

Delivery Issues and Resolution

Damaged Shipments

If equipment arrives damaged:

  1. Do not accept delivery if packaging shows significant damage
  2. Take photos of damaged packaging and equipment
  3. Note damage on delivery receipt if you do accept delivery
  4. Contact us immediately at (888) 498-2550

We will arrange for replacement or repair at no cost to you.

Missing Items

If components or accessories are missing, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Missing items will be shipped via expedited service at no charge.

Delivery Delays

If your delivery is delayed beyond the estimated timeframe, we will contact you with updated information. For urgent needs during transit delays, we may offer loaner equipment.

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

Return shipping charges may apply if shipments cannot be delivered due to incorrect address information, refusal of delivery, or inability to access delivery location.

Special Delivery Situations

High-Rise Deliveries

For deliveries to upper floors, please inform us during order placement. We will coordinate with building management regarding elevator access and delivery scheduling. Certificates of Insurance (COI) can be provided upon request.

Remote Locations

Deliveries to remote or hard-to-access locations may require additional time or fees. Contact us for a custom delivery quote.

Multiple Equipment Orders

For businesses ordering multiple machines, we coordinate delivery and installation to minimize disruption. Bulk installations can be scheduled for weekends or after business hours if needed.

Shipping Insurance

All shipments are fully insured for the equipment's value. In the unlikely event of loss or damage during transit, JR Copier handles the insurance claim and provides replacement equipment at no cost to you.
